There are some great things that go on here. First of all, how many times have you seen the bravado of someone pointing to their face and saying, "Go ahead. Give it your best shot." Normally that person stands back smugly because he or she knows it ain't gonna happen. Here it does. Joel has been a complete jerk, running off at the mouth and challenging her. She hauls off and lets him have it, breaking his nose in the process. Not only that, it happens a second time. This leads to threats and reprisals and a hilarious turn of affairs. While this is going on, Maurice, Ed, and Chris are on the roof of the radio station, putting up an illegal antenna to broadcast further. While up there, Maurice slips, and Chris grabs him, keeping him from dropping about 25 feet. Of course, no Maurice "owes" someone something. Chris has no interest in the hero status or the attention, but Maurice won't let it go. He works on what the value of a human life is, offering Chris a bunch of money, which he forces on our DJ. But then he goes about proving that the fall wouldn't have killed him, so Chris deserves no money or credit. He did not save his life. Of course he could have had sever brain damage, broken bones, become a paraplegic, who knows. But at least he doesn't owe anyone anything. I won't spoil the party, but the scene at the Brick after Maggie and Joel's event, is about as funny as anything ever on TV. Ed has some interesting things going on, doing his mysterious Native American thing. Don't miss this episode.
