The fundraiser for the library proves a catalyst for some interesting behavior. There are several actions taken. Maggie donates her Boss Tweed metal bank, given to her by her grandmother because she thought it wasn't of much value. It turns out that Kovel's values it at 700 dollars. Chris buys it for 500 and Maggie suddenly regrets donating it, then she spends most of the episode trying get it back. Chris is unyielding--almost. Maurice donates a case of wine after he finds out it has gone bad. Holling pays a small fortune for it. Maurice thinks buyer beware. Holling also purchase an ancient dollhouse for the new baby, but Shelly gets some weird ideas about mortality. Ed hooks up again with that PI and the investigate a guy who is trying to defraud in a wrongful injury suit. People seem to forget the whole idea of why this charity existed in the first place.
