Although after this start together their careers would reach the heights for a full generation of movies, ultimately the only other shared credit of both Al Pacino and Jill Clayburgh was The 37th Annual Golden Globe Awards (1980) at which they appeared as nominees for best performance in a leading role in a drama film, for And Justice for All (1979) and Starting Over (1979) respectively. Both performances were also nominated for the Oscar that year although Pacino was a no-show. Neither actor won the award either night. The top-billed co-star in the Pacino film, by the way, was the star of this series, Jack Warden.
