Warning: Spoilers
Now that's a metaphor. But for Murphy, this episode is a nightmare as she deals with a pre-teenaged news reporter for a junior high newspaper who has hacked her computer and come up with a report that Murphy wrote on the quality of her staff. This variation of "Wargames" shows a young genius in control, and it wouldn't be surprising if one day, he was in Miles' position. Murphy's quotes regarding the staff are taken completely out of context but she knows that this would create a field day in the press if released so she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Murphy talks to him like an adult in trying to get him to see the damage he could do if he releases this story so it's not an age difference issue, but one of her trying to protect her integrity while respecting his intelligence. It's too bad that the revamp of Murphy Brown a few years ago didn't last. It would have been fascinating to see her come up against him as an adult, just like the presence of the young Miles the day Murphy and Frank auditioned.
