Not as good as "The Summit Five Affair" but a worthy addition to the final season.

Warning: Spoilers
Mexico: UNCLE agents Solo and Kuriyakin discover that the Conquesta fencing school run by Dr Stoller (played by Paul Lukas) is a front for a THRUSH operation in which the pupils are being trained as supermen conditioned to kill. Stoller's star pupil, 18-year old Greg Martin (played by Christopher Jones) has been entered into the International Fencing Championship in Vienna and Solo and Kuriyakin follow him there. They believe it to be a cover for a THRUSH "field test" in which Martin will be ordered to destroy a population segment somewhere in Europe. Mr. Waverley (played by Leo G. Carroll) orders his two top agents to take him into custody, but that proves to be easier said than done since Martin is an agent of exceptional ability for his age and they only narrowly escape his attempts upon their lives. With the help of a teenage tourist from Oklahoma, Christine Hobson (played by Lynn Loring), whom has fallen madly in love with him, he escapes to Greece where target is a village near Athens. Will the UNCLE men stop him or will his love for Christine prevent him from carrying out his deadly assignment?

The second episode from season four of this cult spy series. It isn't as good as its predecessor, "The Summit Five Affair", but is still a fast paced and action packed globetrotting adventure. Solo and Kuriyakin's dices with death such as a booby tapped TV set that they must detonate in a matter of seconds before it is primed to explode allow for suspense. However, the most pleasing aspect about this one is the relationship that develops between the young THRUSH agent and his naïve, lovestruck girlfriend Christine, which threatens to blow apart Dr. Stoller's theory that he can create infallible supermen who are loyal only to his evil ends and immune to all human weaknesses and emotions. This provides the all important emotional angle to the story and it is effective thanks to Jones and Loring's performances. It concludes with a tense finale.

Academy for assassins!
ShadeGrenade9 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Information provided by a dying agent leads Solo and Kuryakin to a fencing school in Mexico run by Dr.Stoller ( Paul Lukas ) which is, in reality, a THRUSH academy for assassins. Its star pupil, Greg Martin ( Christopher Jones ), gives U.N.C.L.E. the slip and goes to Greece to carry out a training exercise - wiping out an entire town by blowing up a dam.

The beautiful Christine ( Lynn Loring ) tags along. The U.N.C.L.E. duo capture her, then let her go, hoping to find Greg using a tracking device...

As part of Anthony Spinner's 'back to basics' programme, a number of Season One writers were brought back, among them Jack Turley, co-author of 'The Finny Foot Affair'. This is one of the darker episodes; Solo and Kuryakin are constantly outwitted by Martin, and he only fails in his mission because he rescues Christine from a burning car. Still, the legendary U.N.C.L.E. automobile is on view again ( I always wanted Dinky to bring out a die cast version, and they never did ), and Lynn Loring ( who appeared the previous year in 'The Deadly Smorgasboard Affair' ) is a sight for sore eyes.

In a nice touch, a bunch of THRUSH agents observes the proceedings of the climax whilst posing as a coach load of tourists. When the mission fails, they simply get back on their bus and drive off. Solo and Kuryakin watch them leave without once figuring out who they really are.

Christopher Jones, who plays 'Martin', went on to star the following year as the wonderfully named 'Paxton Quigley' in the sex comedy 'Three In The Attic' ( which alas I have not seen, but have read the book! ) and also in 'Ryan's Daughter'.

Though Martin is dead, Dr.Stoller and his other teenage assassins remain at large, setting the scene for a sequel that never happened.

Supermen
Wirefan12212 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Episode of THRUSH developing teenage Supermen to blow up towns/cities/population centers for a unknown reason (general panic?) Illya/Solo are alerted to their presence by an agent in Mexico who is killed but manages to direct them to a fencing training school where the supermen are being trained.

They then follow Martin to Greece where he is to blow up a town. The lovely Christine falls for Martin after seeing him once and assists him in evading UNCLE agents more than once. She does not believe Illya/Solo that they are actually the good guys even though I would imagine it would be hard not to. Perhaps she finds Martin so handsome that he couldn't possibly be a liar! A bit hard to believe that she would be so naive but there you go.

After she finds out that a package Martin gave her was actually a bomb to kill the UNCLE agents he eases any doubts by implying that he may marry her in the future. That certainly makes sense that a woman would fall for that...

The rest is basically standard stuff (THRUSH agents who couldn't hit a target if their life depended on it, which, as it turns out usually does, etc.). Better than Season 3 but that's not saying a whole lot.
