Best episode of the first season

Like most syndicated television series, "Jack of All Trades" was a bit slow to find its rhythm in its first season, but towards the middle of the the initial 14 episode run, it found it with the episode One Wedding and an Execution. The only episode stronger than that one is the first season was this episode. Sharply written with great double entendres, directed to its fullest comedic potential, and featuring sexy guest star Ingrid Park as Madame Camille Croque, this episode is a favorite among 'Jack' fans and rightfully so as it brings out the best in Bruce Campell and Angela Dotchin. Although perhaps not as fulfilling as it could have been had the show aired on cable, it does manage to provide a great number of laughs with its racy sexual situations. Unlike with something like the Austin Powers trilogy, the double entendres and sexual suggestiveness isn't done in a juvenile and 12-year-old boy sort of way. It actually comes across as something made by adults. Is it historically accurate? Probably not, but that's never stopped me from enjoying the rest of the "Jack of All Trades" episodes. 10/10
