- Loren seeks trials for several crewmembers after a mishap at sea. Loren is pregnant, and she refuses to name the father. Harm conducts a second investigation, and Mac replaces Loren. Tracy lends a hand; Meredith and Bud help each other.
- A mishap occurs on the flight deck during intense night flight operations aboard USS Seahawk (CVN-65) in the Arabian Sea. One death and one serious injury result. Loren, the new legal officer aboard the ship, investigates, and she strongly recommends the trials of a long list of key crewmembers, both officers and enlisted members, for dereliction of duty. Loren has become pregnant, and she refuses to name the father. RAdm. Chegwidden sends Harm to conduct a second investigation and Mac to discreetly find out whether Loren conceived before leaving shore or after arriving aboard the ship. Harm helps and allows justice to prevail. Loren returns to the US, and Mac remains temporarily aboard the ship in her place. Back in Washington, Tracy finds the missing piece of a puzzle, and Meredith lends reading material to Bud, who further enlightens her about Shakespeare.—DocRushing
- A misshap on the USS Seahawk results in the death of a man, prompting Lieutenant Singer to request that seven sailors be court-martialed. When Captain Johnson, the skipper of the Seahawk charges Singer with "conduct unbecoming" due to Singer being three and a half months pregnant, Mac is given the assignment of secretly investigating Lieutenant Singer while Harm attempts to find out what really happened.
- The future of seven seamen hang in the balance due to Lt. Singer's recommendation of court martial for all of them following a mishap on the ship. However, Singer's career could also be doomed if the father of her unborn child is someone on the Seahawk, and it's Harm and Mac's job to find out who it is. The problem is, the career-oriented Singer isn't talking, so Harm enlists the help of Lt. Manetti to do some sneaky behind-the-scenes investigating in order discover the identity of the father.
