When Harm and Lt Schiparelli are kissing in the car, they have their noses to the left of each other from one camera angle, and to the right of each other from the other camera angle.
The crashed aircraft appears to be Tomcat 104; yet after the barbecue scene, Tomcats 104 and 103 are shown taxying on the base.
In the opening sequence, all the pilots remove their masks following their attack runs. They also do not have the visors down. Ejecting from a fighter is a hazardous evolution. It is required that the masks and visors be in place before ejecting for protection. Neither the pilot nor the RIO had time to put their masks on and visors down. This would cause serious, if not fatal, injuries. This is a prime reason that pilots of fighter and attack aircraft do not remove their masks, although they sometimes fly with their visors raised.
