Alan hosts an event at the hotel and meets with some Irish television network executives.
This is a hilarious episode with some very memorable scenes.
The plot as always is driven by a number disastrous encounters between Alan, the hotel staff and guest characters.
As always the dialogue is fantastic, with pretty much everything that come out of Alan's mouth being pure gold. His conversations with the Irish characters include some of the best cringe humour I've ever heard. What follows with the obsessive fan is just as memorable in a different way.
Steve Coogan is brilliant as ever and he has strong support from the rest of the cast.
