This is one of the best episodes of the series, in my opinion. It's a story that takes its time to develop, but the slow buildup makes the second half all the more powerful. This is also one of the most realistic episodes they produced. (And, for a 1960s spy show, this series was already on the realistic side.) The denouement is exceptionally well-handled: we know Kelly and Scott are going to survive their predicament, but the way in which they do that is very believable and dramatically sound. The acting of Culp and Cosby during the final ten minutes is quite a joy to behold. This is a real winner from an excellent series.
