What a trooper!

The dance between Lucy and Ricky (the dummy) is so funny. She's too much. She can interact with a plant and it'll be hilarious.

Ricky Is A Jerk

Warning: Spoilers
"I Love Lucy" is my favorite show, but this episode has always upset me. It shows how selfish Ricky is and how much he needs to be the center of attention. Lucy manages to get offered a contract with MGM just before the gang is to head back to New York. Lucy has pretty much spent her life trying to break into show biz, and her chance finally comes through. But does Ricky support her? Of course not. He tells her that she should stay and take the contract, but that he is taking the baby and going back to New York. He promises that he'll show the baby her picture every night "so he doesn't forget who his mommy is". The Mertzes are leaving as well, even though Lucy points out that she'll be making a large salary and will pay all their expenses. They all refuse. So basically Ricky tricks her into turning down the contract, and she does. I guess he didn't like the idea of someone besides him being famous.

Giving up her chance

Warning: Spoilers
I don't care much for this one although it has it's moments.

If they were going to go there at least let Lucy make a movie or two . The idea she's been waiting all those years for a chance to be in show business and gives it up so easily rings false especially when she and the others could go back and forth between California and New York. I know the idea is they live in New York and the plots are about their every day life with trips mostly connected to Ricky's career but there had to be a better way to do it.

I agree she is essentially tricked into giving up her dream which rings false too no one can fool Lucy not for long.

The dummy face for Ricky is just creepy.
