Felt like more of a drama than comedy
In this episode Hogan has to face one of his fellow prisoners that is fed up with Stalag life and for a price will give up all of Hogan's operation for a free life. Jack Williams is an American POW that tried to escape but was captured. Jack feels that Hogan had a hand in the capture and now wants to turn over information if the Germans will give him safe passage out of the camp.
Not only does Hogan have to deal with being outed by his fellow soldier, there is also a secret weapon that has been stored at the camp and the allies want the gang to take care of the new weapon. Hogan will have a lot on his plate dealing with the two situation. And the guy that is going to rat his operation can land the entire Stalag in front of a firing squad.
There is much going on in this episode which makes for a quick show. The conflict facing the group is nicely written but there was still not many funny lines in the script. This was more of a serious type show which does not go with the first two years of the series. But it was nice to see a new situation for the group to avoid which is always a wonderful change.
