Mac heads to France where he meets up with Fitzcairn. Fitz is in love with Naomi. But there is a jealous ex-boyfriend, Patrick, out to harm Fitz. In the meantime, Kalas is targeting Fitz and planning to use Patrick to do it.
Fitz was kinda a wild driver, wasn't he? I was glad to see Maurice back in this episode.
I loved that they show the story of how Duncan and Fitz met in 1637. It was filled with so much comedy.
Duncan: "Dammit, you had to take her innocence?!"
Fitz: "There was none to take!"
Duncan: "What are you saying?"
Fitz: "What do you think, MacLeod? I am old enough to know a virgin when I meet one."
Duncan: "That's impossible! She's been under guard half her life."
Fitz: "Yes, by fair-haired young men the prince thought he could trust. She even showed me a thing or two."
Duncan: "Really?"
Fitz: "Yes. Do you know she can..."
Duncan: "Don't." (As Duncan places his hand over Fitz's mouth).
So hilarious their back-n-forth here as they keep looking back at Arianna.
Did you all hate that they killed off Fitz as much as I did? Roger Daltrey was so fun as Fitz and he and Duncan had great camaraderie. I know they bring him back in later episodes in flashbacks, but I still hate that they killed him off.
I felt like Duncan could have moved faster to kill Kalas after Kalas killed Fitz.
Kalas: "You find me at a disadvantage, MacLeod. I'm, uh, not at my best."
Duncan: "Well, take your time. I'm not going anywhere."
Wtf, Duncan? You mean he was actually gonna wait until Kalas was ready to fight again? I know Kalas moved quickly after that line, but still, why would Mac give this evil killer any advantage. Oh yeah, it's his pride and highlander honor. Rolling my eyes. I gave it an 8/10.
