Dog vs immortal

Just a comment on the Kanis part of this episode: If any immortal who may possess even just a minimal amount of training with a sword, is unable to defend himself or herself against a large dog of even the most ferocious breed, then that immortal deserves to be chewed up and then beheaded.

Do drugs and kill, but have a preggy girlfriend and you're excused. Poor excuse to get away with murder. Tessa's killer made a saint.

Warning: Spoilers
The immortal Kanis, uses dogs to try and kill Duncan. Meanwhile, Richie spots the thug that killed Tessa, and him.

I guess the lesson that we are supposed to swallow is that if you've killed somebody while on drugs, later got off the drugs and forgot what you did while on drugs, and have a pregnant girlfriend, you therefore are not accountable anymore. Oh please.

"Where's the justice in all this?" The justice in all this got stolen by the writers as they wanted Duncan to become more zen. They left no opening making sure that when Tessa died, Richie never reported what he saw as a witness. They wrote Mark, Tessa's killer, as a sweet, lovable, innocent, goody-two-shoes guy. Too bad Duncan didn't see Mark's evil expression when killed Tessa, "you lying b*tch," right before he shot her. Yeah, he has a lovely view of women, doesn't he? Great daddy material.

I wonder what Duncan's attitude would have been if Mark was an immortal. Guessing he would have totally have taken him out. Mac's moral code is bonkers at times. Now, it seems like I'm saying Richie or Mac should have killed him. That's not what I'm saying. Given the garbage the writers vomited out, Mac and Richie did what they felt was appropriate. I wonder though, how many other people Mark hurt or killed while he was on drugs. Oh never mind he was on drugs, now he's a saint, so he's not responsible. See how frustrating the writers made this for the viewer? May as well put it out there that drinking and driving is ok.

I guess we all have to hope that Saint Mark doesn't dive back into drugs and start killing people again. Man, that actually would have been a good twist if they did more episodes. Duncan and Richie finding out Mark was doing drugs again and killed someone. Maybe his baby mama? Maybe his baby. To see how these two dealt with it might have been something.

The saving grace in this episode is the Kanis story. Kanis was kind of lame but it was fun seeing Duncan outsmart him.

Nice underwear Duncan.Yep.

I like to see redemption stories about characters. But Mark didn't have a redemption story. Mark was just evil one minute and angelic the next without showing the viewers anything about his change. And why would they? He was an insignificant character. It was like the writers said he's good now. Too bad. You just have to accept it. Maybe, but it also means I gave it a 3/10.
