1. Actress Justina Vail played the role of immortal Katya, and was a the third great looking actress (with a nice head of hair) who, for some reason, was not chosen to star in the Highlander spin-off TV series. This episode stirs plenty of emotions beginning with the flashback where we see Katya take the hand of the abandoned little girl Elena. At that moment Katya decides to become the girl's mother. Later she is Elena's older sister then younger sister. As time passes she becomes grandmother to Elena's daughter Mia. 2. Katya has suffered in the past from the unfair judgements of men. Now she suffers the loss of Elena who is killed by her husband Armando in a "crime of passion", but in that Argentine court he is not punished. Katya wants Armando dead, but her new friend Duncan MacLeod tries to persuade her that this will not make her feel any better. 3. Katya finally leaves Mia and her dad in peace. She says to Duncan, "I always wondered why we can't have children. I always thought it was a curse, but it's not ". It is not often in the series that we hear an immortal speak on this subject.
