In part 2, Tessa's evil look-alike meets Duncan. He becomes infatuated with her.
Richie sure did get over the Pete thing pretty fast didn't he? Suddenly he thinks Mac was right all along without explaining his sudden change of mind. What was the point of it? It just seems like now part 1 was just a waste of time. Anyway, this part of the story this kind of goes away as if tho swept under a rug.
Duncan knows it's a trick but he still plays along anyway. Of course, he sleeps with her. So what else is new. I really like that they shot a new scene for the flashback of when Tessa first finds out Duncan is an immortal.
They really did an overlong memory of Duncan's love scene(s) with Tessa, didn't they? I'm not a prude. I love hot sexy love scenes. But this just seemed like somebody behind the scenes was having wet dreams about Tessa.
The character of Horton seems very one-note. He started off really good with a family and Joe as his bro-in-law, but in later episodes he seems almost robotic, saying the same things over again, no emotion. They should have given this character layers. I said in another review he should have had a flashback, to explain his character better.
I found Horton's plan stupid. Like I said in the previous review, Duncan is out and about all the time. Horton could have gotten one of his disciples to walk right up to him and shoot him. Then he could have beheaded him. The scene at the cemetery seemed so anticlimactic. I mean you're left there thinking this big elaborate plan is all for this stupid moment?
Duncan: "I mourned Tessa too long. It's time to move on."
Well, let's see. In this one season alone in which Tessa died, you slept with Annie Devlin in the very next episode. Amanda in two different episodes. Elizabeth Vaughn in 'Warmonger.' Nefertiri in 'Pharaoh's Daughter.' And now Lisa. Plus romanced army intelligence agent, Renee Delaney. Duncan, you stopped mourning Tessa from the beginning. Maybe that's not fair on my part. People grieve in different ways. But this is a TV show, not real life. Duncan's numerous dalliances starting right after Tessa died, rubbed me the wrong way.
Duncan and Richie send the barge off as if tho he sold it. But it's back in the next season anyway. Pointless scene. I did like Richie and Duncan's friendly leave-off tho.
I gave this episode a 7/10.
