When the attack is over, he realizes he is wrong about Victoria. Blue sent back to warn Buck finds him gone. - The prospector Shortly Bleeson tells Big John that he has found a new bonanza in an old, deserted goldmine in the Anamos Canyon, and that he and his companions, Lilje Driskill and Johnny Faro, have a legal claim on it. Big John replies sternly that the Anamos Canyon is on his land, and forbids them to dig there. As they refuse to obey him, Big John decides to destroy the old mine. He sends Buck and Sam to Tucson to buy some barrels of black blasting powder for this purpose, and Victoria accompanies them. In Tucson Buck is drawn into a fight with Driskill at the saloon. Driskill orders his torpedo Black Dog, an Indian, to stalk Buck, Sam and Victoria, and kill them. Buck and Sam don't have enough cartridges to defend themselves and Victoria, but Buck uses the blasting powder to get rid of the two Indians attacking them. Back home Buck finds himself infatuated by Victoria, and decides to leave the ranch before his feelings grow out of control. Blue goes after him to call him back, but is captured by the gold diggers, who threaten to kill him. Buck liberates him and blows up the mine.—Maths Jesperson {maths.jesperson1@comhem.se}
