Trivia for
"Firefly" Trash (2003)

• The prized item is a Lasseter laser pistol, which shares its name with John Lasseter, Joss Whedon's co-writer on Toy Story (1995).
  
  
• The trash bin that Jayne and Kaylee have to reprogram is powered by a Microsoft Operating System. In the scene where they begin to reprogram it, you can clearly see a Microsoft Windows 2000 desktop with multiple windows open.
  
  
• In the scene where Mal and Saffron first arrive at her husband's estate a SR-71 Blackbird can be seen flying in the background.
  
  
• When Kaylee installs a new component into the trash disposal computer, the display shows a Windows 98 desktop, with a hardware installer dialogue box.
  
  
• For Malcolm's line "Yo-Saff-Bridge-", in reference to the character's several names (Yolanda, Saffron, Bridget), the caption falsely claims it is Chinese.
  
  

• SPOILER: When Saffron looks out the window of her husband's estate , Jubal Early's ship can be seen flying past. (He had been following Serenity since Ariel.)
