Sex & Nudity

  • This episode contains more sexual innuendo than any of the others.
  • A male guest walks around with his shirt unbuttoned to the waist. He wears a rhino tooth fertility symbol around his neck. Sybil notes that everybody wants him. She tells Basil that she finds him attractive, charming and sexy. When his mother decides to share a room with him, Sybil refers to her as lucky.
  • Sybil says that her mother worries about men following her but she implies that they wouldn't want to do anything to her.
  • The male guest refers to "Great English Lovers" as one of the world's shortest books.
  • Basil says he doesn't want psychiatrists sticking their noses in his private parts. To them everything is connected with sex.
  • A psychiatrist asks Basil how often he and Sybil get away for a holiday. He misunderstands and thinks he is being questioned about his sex life.
  • An attractive woman arrives at the hotel. Basil finds it hard to avoid looking at her breasts. Sybil catches him and then proceeds to mistake everything he does for the rest of the episode as an attempt at a sexual tryst. Basil accidentally grabs her breast and gropes it, mistaking it for a light switch. Sybil catches them and attributes it to male menopause. When the woman screams later Sybil's first response is to ask Basil what he did to her. He later accidentally grabs her breasts again leaving a handprint.
  • A male guest sneaks a woman into his room. Basil refers to her as a bit of crumpet and tries for the remainder of the episode to catch them breaching hotel rules about after-hours occupancy of guests' rooms. He listens at the door and walls for evidence and climbs a ladder to peek into their room.
  • An older woman wears a negligee in her bedroom. It is not revealing. A younger female guest changing clothes strips to her bra.
