This might fit into the Geographic Error category, as well.
Tripp had stated in an earlier episode, that he was from Tarpon Springs, Florida. When the Xindi weapon cut the swath through Florida, it originated around the Orlando/Kissimmee area, moved south toward the Florida Keys and into the Gulf of Mexico. The swath was far too narrow to have reached Tarpon Springs, which is well to the west as a suburb of Tampa.
The Xindi weapon cuts a groove into the Earth so wide that it can be seen from space, yet when Trip and Malcolm are pictured standing next to the groove, it's fairly narrow. Nothing that narrow would be visible from space as a black line.
In the external panning shot of Enterprise passing from right to left after the argument between Archer and T'Pol when they are returning to Earth, the position lights are switched. Green is usually on the starboard side.
In the begin when the crew is waiting for Captain Archer . They are gathered around a table , and Trip walks all the way around and there is no T'Po . But when the Captain comes in ( alone ) it pan to the corner where Hoshi is and there is T'Pol .
As Trip enters the room, the back of T'Pol's head is in camera shot to the left of Lt. Reed.

When the canyon left by the Xindi weapon is seen in Florida it only has a small amount of water in it. The bottom would be below sea level and as the canyon extends to the ocean it would be full of sea water.
The cut as seen from space does not run from Florida "all the way to Venezuela", but to Panama. Also, the distance from that spot in Florida to Venezuela is not 4,000 but only 2,000 to at most 3,300 km.
When the Enterprise first comes into Earth orbit we can see the swath as a black line starting in Florida (a little west of Lake Okeechobee south to Everglades National Park and across the Keys). Cuba is covered by a cloud in the shot, but we saw it hit at the start. Following a straight path, the black swath clearly ends by going through Panama (east of Panama City), not Venezuela as stated. And, no, that's not the canal, it's west of Panama City.
Tucker's little sister died in the attack and there's even a scene where Tucker visits the site and reminisces about playing there as a kid. However, Tucker has said a few times that he grew up in Panama City, Florida which is hundreds of miles from Lake Okeechobee.
The time traveler claims he wants to save humanity from extinction as this would 'contaminate the time line'. However, the time line is already plenty contaminated if millions of people suffer a premature death. It prevents not only the future actions of those killed but also that of any of their future offspring.
The Xindi want to eventually destroy Earth. The entire third season arc is about Enterprise's mission to stop the Xindi from developing their ultimate weapon that will destroy Earth. But they test out their prototype weapon on Florida, giving Starfleet time to mount a counter-offensive. It would've been much more militarily strategic to test the prototype on a neutral planetary body.
