- Whilst in the midst of a call confirming a Valentine's weekend getaway with Dharma, Greg is interrupted by another phone call. It so happens to be Bob Dylan calling for Dharma. Greg excitedly hands her the phone and is perplexed and unaware they were already friends from previously playing music together. Bob asks Dharma if it would be ok for a friend of his to seek her guidance with personal issues. Next there is a knock at the door and Greg answers it revealing another famous musician. Dharma walks in having finished talking with Bob Dylan and the course of their romantic weekend escape changes in favour of needy troubadours seeking the advice of Dharma.—enjoy! ^_^
- A sarcastic hotel clerk Geoffrey (Ian Ogilvy) spoils plans for the couple's romantic Valentine's Day getaway. Greg asked for a full ocean view room, but the confirmation letter says that they have been assigned a partial ocean view room. Greg gets on the phone with the resort to ensure that he is assigned the Ocean View room.
Dharma lends a helping hand to singer-songwriters Lyle Lovett and K.D. Lang when their fame and fortune leaves them unfulfilled. Dharma played with Bob Dylan once & he is a big fan of her therapy, so he sends Lyle Lovett for treatment.
When Lyle comes in Greg is smitten (and delays his departure) and calls the hotel again. The clerk won't hold the ocean view room for him, so Greg accepts the partial view room and says they will arrive later at night. Dharma was not in favor of changing their plans for Lyle since he dropped by unannounced, which she considers rock-star rude. But Greg is afraid that if they leave, Lyle might get better by the time they come back and not need their help anymore. Greg wants to know if Lyle is planning to turn his personal problems into the material for his next song.
Dharma gets him to do laundry, breakfast, sweeping etc. to help him discover himself, which he does. Greg is psyched that famous musicians are staying at his house.
Lyle decides to stay overnight, and Greg calls the hotel again to say they will arrive the next morning, but the hotel refuses to hold the booking. So, Greg decides to pay for the entire 3 nights and says they will arrive the following morning. The following morning Lyle is cooking pancakes in their kitchen. Abby and Larry had come over for house sitting as Dharma and Greg were supposed to be gone by then. Larry tells Lyle how he knew in 1972 that one day all music will be sold online on the internet one day. He called the internet the "World Hive Brain". Dharma doesn't want Greg to talk to Lyle about his music or his movies. Dharma takes Lyle grocery shopping with her to the supermarket. She wants Lyle to realize that without his music and movies, he is just a simple man who lives just like everybody else. Dharma wants Lyle to stay a bit longer, so Greg has to postpone their departure again.
Greg and Dharma finally decide to leave Lyle in their apartment and go for their resort. They plan to arrive at the resort after 9 PM, when the restaurant stops serving. So, Greg Pre-orders the dinner. Dharma feels guilty about leaving Lyle behind, so eventually they return home. But Lyle gets comfortable in the house. He starts writing a new song about all the things he was made to do by Dharma in her house. Greg is worried that Lyle lives with them now. But then Lyle informs Dharma that he is recharged and is leaving.
Lyle gets another celeb friend of his, K.D. Lang, to follow Dharma's program. Lyle takes the liberty of getting KD started on the program, so there is no gap between Lyle leaving and KD starting at Dharma's house. Meanwhile Kitty and Edward reach the resort to claim Greg's third night, but the room has been given away.
