- Bobby Ewing: All right, what's the matter? I thought we were out to have a good time. Remember, leave Ewing Oil behind?
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: And look what happened. We find out that Donna's the one behind the big push for the new Energy Commission through the senate.
- Bobby Ewing: What's wrong with that?
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: It's another part of the family that's gonna be right in the middle of the fight for Ewing Oil.
- Bobby Ewing: Honey, that commission is long overdue. And the whole thing came about because J.R. rigged the OLM.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: Bobby, they're gonna be more problems no matter what the reasons.
- Bobby Ewing: Look, it hasn't even cleared the senate. And we're not gonna know anything till Dave gets here, so cheer up.
- J.R. Ewing: [finds her sunning herself in usual skimpy attire at swimming pool] Holly.
- Holly Harwood: [lifts herself up from lounge chair] Good morning.
- J.R. Ewing: [business-minded] Morning.
- Holly Harwood: [sits upright] Where's that famous Ewing charm?
- J.R. Ewing: Oh, I got a little business I wanna do, honey.
- Holly Harwood: Okay... .
- [has play in mind:]
- Holly Harwood: All in favor of holding the business meeting in the pool say aye.
- [holds up her hand]
- Holly Harwood: Aye. Motion's carried.
- J.R. Ewing: [impatiently] Would you mind?
- Holly Harwood: [gets up] Lupe will show you where the men's swim trunks are. Unless, of course, you prefer skinny-dipping... which is perfectly acceptable in this house.
- J.R. Ewing: What's the matter with you today, Holly?
- Holly Harwood: [hands on hips] You're looking at a desolate woman. I've broken up with Jordan.
- [leans over the table giving him the full wattage of her appeal]
- Holly Harwood: I need consoling.
- J.R. Ewing: [gestures at her robe] You mind putting this on? I wanna try to accomplish something.
- Holly Harwood: Am I distracting you... hmm?
- J.R. Ewing: Would you, please?
- Holly Harwood: [sits down, puts on robe] All right. Business it is. What's up?
- J.R. Ewing: [re documents] Well, I'm recommending these assets to be sold off. Here's your copy.
- [she looks at it]
- J.R. Ewing: Let's see now...
- Holly Harwood: My father felt this division was really profitable.
- J.R. Ewing: Oh, Holly, times have changed. That's one of the reasons Harwood Oil isn't doing as well as it should. If... if you look at this paragraph four there. See, you're deleting the most efficient use of your capital. And with the infusion of new funds... I... I can put the money to better use for you. I really can.
- Holly Harwood: Well, do you have a buyer in mind?
- J.R. Ewing: I wouldn't be making a recommendation like this unless I did. Petro State. That's the buyer.
- Holly Harwood: But if it's not profitable to Harwood, why would it be profitable...
- J.R. Ewing: It will be for Petro State. It's a different operation, that's all.
- [glances at his watch]
- J.R. Ewing: Well, I gotta get going.
- [gets up]
- Holly Harwood: Wait a minute. Who's Petro State?
- J.R. Ewing: The question you should ask is: "Can they pay in coin of the realm... and promptly?" The answer is, "Yes, they sure can."
- [taps his chest with his big hat]
- J.R. Ewing: Trust me.
- [turns around, goes off]
- Holly Harwood: J.R.?
- J.R. Ewing: [turns around] Huh?
- Holly Harwood: Are you sure you wouldn't like a little... swim?
- [alluring pose]
