- Ray Krebbs: [angrily seething] You don't give a damn about anybody. Not even your own mother!
- J.R. Ewing: You really are a dumb ol' cowboy, aren't you?
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: Don't you two realize that she's trying to stop you from hurting each other?
- J.R. Ewing: Keep out of this, Pam.
- Bobby Ewing: [while Pamela combs her hair in front of the mirror] Don't you realize that breaking Daddy's will is gonna affect Gary and Ray? It's gonna affect them badly. They're only gonna get a fraction of what's rightfully theirs.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: [puts down the brush] All Miss Ellie wants to do is stop the battle between you and J.R.
- [walks toward the bed]
- Bobby Ewing: I know that, honey. But this is not the way to do it.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: [slips off her white nightgown, wears white nightdress underneath] The only other way is for you and J.R. to call off the fight, but neither one of you'll do it.
- Bobby Ewing: Pam, that is not the only other way. You can also persuade Mama what she's doing is wrong.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: But I don't think she's wrong.
- Bobby Ewing: Even if it hurts Gary and Ray?
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: Oh, Bobby, you know your mother. Never in a million years would she hurt Gary or Ray.
- Bobby Ewing: [sighs, lays back] Honey, I understand Mama's intentions. They're the best, the best in the world! But she does not fully understand the consequences of what she's doing.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: [shakes her head] I don't agree.
- [turns over, argument over, leaves Bobby just where he's started from]
