Jock Ewing : What's that, Miss Ellie?
Miss Ellie Ewing : This morning, when Donna and Ray were getting married, the DOA went to court. We got an injunction. We stopped the Takapa development.
Jock Ewing : [barks] You what?
Miss Ellie Ewing : We stopped Takapa.
Jock Ewing : What are you talking about? I am Takapa!
Miss Ellie Ewing : [shocked] You're what?

[puts his glass down, walks out furiously, leaves dismayed Miss Ellie standing there]

Jock Ewing : [slid the doors closed to lash out at J.R] I couldn't believe it. My own son. Letting some little no-account alley cat swing you by your big toe. Letting her screw up the deal with the cartel. I thought I brought you up better than that.
[doesn't hear Miss Ellie enter]
Jock Ewing : A woman's place is in the bedroom. Sure as hell not in the boardroom.
Miss Ellie Ewing : Very nice, Jock.
Jock Ewing : Oh. Didn't hear you come in, Ellie.
Miss Ellie Ewing : Obviously.
Jock Ewing : Now look, Miss Ellie, you know that I didn't mean to...
