The roadside restaurant where Lucy meets Willie is a Stuckey's. The chain of gas station, diner, and gift shops were once seen along most major roads through the U.S.
Of interest to Beatles fans, the climax is filmed on a street of Fab Four-themed shops: Strawberry Fields, Eight Days a Week, and Pepper's. Interestingly, two songs on the Sgt. Pepper album have parallels to this story: "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "She's Leaving Home."
Guest star Greg Evigan appeared here just a few weeks after the October 4, 1978 broadcast of the B.J. and the Bear (1978) pilot movie, "The Foundlings." Evigan went on to star in the 1979-81 series about a truck driver and his pet chimpanzee.
This episode were not showed in germany (and never got dubbed).
