Quotes
-
J.R. Ewing : [Serena has everything ready] Breakfast?
Serena Wald : For a special friend.
J.R. Ewing : Hell, I don't think I earned breakfast this morning.
Serena Wald : You don't have to earn breakfast. Besides, you just had a little too much to drink last night, that's all.
J.R. Ewing : How come women are so understanding in a situation like that?
[takes sip of hangover cure]
Serena Wald : Because men are so fragile.
[he scoffs]
Serena Wald : J.R., I was wondering about something. When I tried to send you home at 2:30 this morning... you said you didn't have to go home.
J.R. Ewing : Well... Sue Ellen doesn't care who I sleep with nowadays.
Serena Wald : Does that mean I'm no longer forbidden fruit?
J.R. Ewing : Ugh...
[puts down glass]
J.R. Ewing : I guess.
Serena Wald : [smiles] Maybe I should have asked Diane to stay.
J.R. Ewing : I don't think it would have mattered.
Serena Wald : [snickers] You are in a mood. J.R., it's temporary, it'll pass. I was surprised to see you and Bobby so chummy last night. When you said to bring a friend along I didn't realize it'd would be for your brother.
J.R. Ewing : Well, he needs special handling. He's so close to divorce now, I don't want anything to go wrong.
Serena Wald : What could go wrong?
J.R. Ewing : They could get back together. Reconcile.
Serena Wald : And you don't want that.
J.R. Ewing : I want what's best for Bob.
Serena Wald : Of course you do, and you're being very nice to him, sharing Ewing Oil.
J.R. Ewing : I'm gonna do something even better.
Serena Wald : Oh?
J.R. Ewing : I'm gonna protect him from... all the headaches and responsibilities of being an equal partner in the company.
Serena Wald : [smiles] Do you mean the fight for Ewing Oil isn't over?
J.R. Ewing : It is for Bobby.
[takes sip of his drink]
