Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : Now this is Mr. Ewing's appointment book. Your name is not in it. Not for tonight. Not at any time.
Afton Cooper : I called. He answered the phone. I knew he was here.
Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : And he asked you to come up here at this time of night?

Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : I see. Miss Cooper, you realize of course that Mr. Bobby Ewing was shot in Mr. J.R. Ewing's office.
Afton Cooper : [very softly] Yes.
Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : How soon after the shooting did you... call for help?

Afton Cooper : I don't know when he was shot. I called as soon as I found Bobby. Are you trying to say that I did it?
Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : I'm not saying anything, Miss Cooper.
Afton Cooper : I think I want a lawyer.
Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : You're not under arrest.
Afton Cooper : Then I'm going right over to the hospital to find out about Bobby.
Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : We may wanna talk to you again.
Afton Cooper : You can talk to my lawyer the next time.
Cpt. Merwin Fogerty : Don't leave town unless you call us.
