  Cliff Barnes : [closes door behind the pretty girl, chuckles]  I'm glad you like it.

  Mandy Winger : You don't remember me.

  Cliff Barnes : No. Help me.

  Mandy Winger : The police station.

  [points at herself] 

  Mandy Winger : My place.

  Cliff Barnes : Oh, okay! Yeah, okay, the police station, yeah. I'm sorry, I don't remember much about the night we met.

  Mandy Winger : [chuckles]  That's okay, there's not much to remember. But you were a lot of fun that night. Till you passed out.

  [smiles, chuckles] 

  Mandy Winger : And then I woke up in the morning and you were gone.

  Cliff Barnes : Well, I'll tell you, I truly, I had been meaning to look you up, 'cause I wanted to thank you, but... I didn't know your name.

  Mandy Winger : [big smiles, shakes his hand]  Mandy Winger.

  Cliff Barnes : Okay. Can I get you something to drink, Mandy Winger?

  [chuckles] 

  Mandy Winger : [chuckles]  Maybe a soft drink, yeah.

  Cliff Barnes : [as he prepares the drink]  How did you ever go to the police about me?

  Mandy Winger : I read in the papers about you being in trouble.

  Cliff Barnes : You also read that I had a lot of money.

  Mandy Winger : Hey, I got nothing against money. That's not why I did it.

  Cliff Barnes : Oh? Then why? You obviously came here for a reason. You'll have to tell me what it is.

  Mandy Winger : I came because I thought you were really nice that night. I liked you. I thought maybe we had something going.

  Cliff Barnes : It's been quite a while since we spent the night together.

  [shakes his head] 

  Cliff Barnes : Why didn't you look me up before you found out I was rich?

  Mandy Winger : Maybe I was hoping you'd look me up.

  [he looks at her in a suspicious way] 

  Mandy Winger : Hey...

  [shakes her head] 

  Mandy Winger : let's just forget the whole thing. I hope you and your money are *very* happy together.

  [walks towards the door] 

  Cliff Barnes : [realize he is letting the very pretty catch slip through his fingers]  Oh, wait, excuse me, I... I do appreciate you getting me off the hook the way you did. And I would like to repay you.

  Mandy Winger : [with her back towards him]  That won't be necessary.

  [smiles, turns around] 

  Mandy Winger : What did you have in mind?

  Cliff Barnes : Do you like Chinese food?
