Della Rogers debuts as Della J. Rogers
"Della Moves In" opened the third season, introducing another new character in Della J. Rogers, self styled caterer and new neighbor of crabby Ed Brown, played by Della Reese, who had previously appeared as a judge in "The Juror." After a rough introduction, Ed starts to warm up to Della, especially after learning that she knew his beloved late wife Margaret; unfortunately, a difference in politics and a brief stay in prison for Margaret sours him on the relationship again. Only now does Della spring her biggest surprise on Ed Brown, namely that she is not just his new neighbor but also his new landlady! Danny Mora also debuts as Della's faithful employee Salvador, appearing in four more episodes.
