Bonnie talks to Sgt. Getraer about having a teddy bear for his son Christopher. Later on, Sgt. Getraer's wife thanks Bonnie for the bear and states Christopher went right to sleep with it. Robert Pine, who plays Sgt. Getraer, and Gwynne Gilford, who plays his wife, are married and parents to Chris Pine who would have also been a baby at this time.
Second and final series appearance of Michael Cole, this time as Gibson. Two years earlier he had appeared in Roller Disco: Part 2 (1979) as himself in an uncredited role. He appeared with many of the same cast members each time.
Two scenes feature the CHP Central L.A. team (Ponch, Jon, Bear, Jed Turner, Bonnie, Grossie and Harlan) at an arcade in the Downtown area playing "Defender", a video game created by Williams Electronics back in 1980 and released to many arcades by early 1981. While Grossie struggled in the first scene, he prospered by the second due in part by Harlan "fixing" one of the machines so that Grossie can win easily.
