When Charlie has to bump Jon's trailer to lock it back onto the rig, he isn't wearing a hat in all of the close up shots. But in all of the exterior shots of the cab of the truck, It's now being driven by a younger man with dark hair wearing a white hat.
When the fire first starts at the chemical depot, the sign on the side of the building catches on fire, yet in a subsequent closeup of Ponch and Jon, the sign is not on fire and has no fire or smoke stains. In the very next shot, the sign is on fire again, and after the fire is put out, the sign is damaged and discolored from the fire.
Robbie Davis's truck changes between the long shots and close-up dialogue shots. In the close-up shots it's a newer model truck with a stripe that wrap around the front corners of the body.
During the scene in which Ponch is climbing on the trailer to secure the fifth wheel with the help of Charley's truck, there are only two trucks pictured: Jon's and Charley's. Where is Sam's truck?
In the opening sequence, they are chasing a robbery suspect. The dispatch audio states that the suspect is driving a "stolen 1964 yellow T-Bird." The car is actually a 1968 T-Bird.
When the three drunk guys in the blue pickup swerve out of control and cause a major accident, a red flatbed pickup truck hauling caged animals is forced off of the road. When the cages containing the wild animals slide off of the truck, it is very obvious that the animals in the cages are stuffed dummies and not real animals.
Before the boulder falls and damages the valve on Robbie's trailer, it is shown multiple times on the verge of falling, yet it's very clear that it's being manipulated by a force other than gravity. Smaller rocks hitting the boulder might loosen it and cause it to fall, but nothing natural could cause it to jump and move the way it does.
CHiP officers seem to have X Ray vision. Both Baker and Turner radio there are obstacles ahead and in both cases they then drive round bends before the obstacles come into view.
When Sgt. Getraer is first shown in the scene talking to Ponch, John and Officer Turner you can clearly see the camera crew reflected in his sunglasses.
When Ponch and Jon go to check the tanker valve they put on gas masks wrong. They are not actually all the way on. The masks would not seal, be useless against the gas, and they would not be able to see.
