When Ponch & John ride up on the accident with the train engine the line of stopped traffic extends well out of sight; but when Ponch climbs in the engine and sees the fake CHP officer it's down to about 10-15 cars.
Jon and Ponch leave Fritz and Shain at the crash with the baby so they can go to central. Fritz and/or Shain would have written the crash report and called for a tow, which would take considerable time. Fritz and Shain were already at Central when Jon and Ponch arrive.
When John and Ponch are chasing the fake CHP officer, the fake officers motorcycle gas tank goes from white with a black stripe on the side to all white, and the white covers on the front red lights disappear and then later reappear.
After Jon yells "Pull it over!" to the groom in the lead vehicle, Ponch is seen riding past him in the background, yet in the subsequent scene Ponch was at the end of the line of vehicles when they stopped.
When Ponch is loading his food into the refrigerator, there is a bowl of eggs on the left. Jon reaches over and takes one egg out to place into the blender. In the following shot, the entire bowl has disappeared. It then reappears in a following scene.
The tan Opel GT in the wedding party was also passed by the fake CHP officer before he stopped the woman in the blue Datsun. The same vehicle was reused for both scenes.
When Ponch and Jon are arresting the fake CHP Officer you can see a yellow bug and a green car with its turn signal on. As the green car makes its turn the driver sticks his hand out and looks to be giving the crew the finger.
After the driver he stopped speeds away, Getraer tries to start his 4-cylinder Kawasaki KZ900 police motorcycle. The sound effect used was from a 2-cylinder Harley-Davidson motorcycle. On the second attempt, the correct Kawasaki sound effect was used.
When Getraer is approaching the red car he has just pulled over, the driver looks in his side view mirror. You can see an assistant standing there with a three ring binder. Due to cropping, this may only be visible on the DVD version- in the broadcast version only the shadow of the assistant can be seen.
Ponch is staying with Jon since the generator on his motor home is bad. Ponch lives in an RV park where electricity is supplied to residents, so he would not need to use the generator unless he was on a road trip.
The groom Jon stops tells him he is in the Navy and just has a couple of days of leave, indicating a 48 hour leave. Jon 15 seconds later is talking to himself and says the guy probably has a 24 hour leave.
Ponch tells Jon it would take an hour to cite a total of 6 drivers in the wedding party for speeding, and Jon repeats this to the groom. Based upon past ticket times depicted, it would take two officers about 10 minutes to do so.
The morning briefings are normally held at 9:00 AM based upon the clock in the briefing room. Jon tells Getrear he was alone from 10:00 to 10:30 AM when the woman in the blue Datsun was stopped and the car crash with the pregnant woman took place. Ponch was a half-hour late that morning, and both were on the way to the briefing when they stopped for the pregnant woman, so the stop could not have been around 10:00 AM, it would have been far earlier.
