In Poncherello's locker there is a poster for the 1982 World Speedway Championship. This race was won by his co-star Bruce Penhall and actual footage from it was used in Speedway Fever (1982).
This is the last time the early 1970's model Firebird that was owned by Poncherello is seen. It is driven by Hal, the stepfather of the boy. Poncherello used this car for several seasons until he got a 1980's model in Season 6.
When measured in the squad room, Harlan is 5 feet 3 and 7/8 inches tall. Lou Wagner is listed as being 5 feet 2 inches tall.
Poncherello had lost his fiancée in a crash two episodes earlier in Head Over Heels (1982). While there are pictures of several girls in his locker, there is no photo of his fiancée, nor is she mentioned.
Season 6 Episode 10:
Right after the bus crash underneath the overpass, we see a brief glimpse of Station 127 in Carson California (aka Station 51 from "EMERGENCY!") .
The clip shows the old Engine 51 (1965 open cab Coach) and Squad 51 leaving Station 51.
However, back at the scene of the accident no squad ever arrives, and, the engine that pulls up is not the same as Engine 51.
A Ward LaFrance P80 did make an appearance during one episode of CHIPS however.
