When the CHP dispatcher types the information from the second false accident report into her computer, her screen indicates that Fire Unit 26 will be responding to the scene, yet when the montage of emergency vehicles is shown, Fire Unit 51 is pictured leaving its firehouse.
When Ponch is trapped in the car with the snake Jon is walking south towards the car. Ponch honks and Jon looks north and heads that way. A moment later he is jogging south again to aid Ponch in the Mustang.

When the initial false alarm is called in, the dispatcher says the call is from the San Diego Freeway at Sunset Boulevard, yet when Ponch and Jon enter the freeway after abandoning their lunch, they are in Hollywood, as evidenced by the fact that they pass the Knickerbocker Hotel. The San Diego Freeway (I-405) goes nowhere near Hollywood, and Ponch and Jon are actually entering the Hollywood Freeway (US-101), but they are too far away from scene of the supposed accident for them to be of any real assistance. Other units would be closer.
When all units arrive at the scene of the supposed accident, they are at the Pine Avenue exit of either the San Diego (I-405) or Long Beach (I-710) Freeways, both of which are even farther away from (many miles to the south) Sunset Boulevard than Ponch and Jon originally were in Hollywood.
