After the first few episodes of this TV series, it seemed like every episode was mostly about how Detective Stone missed his wife, and how much he wanted to see her again. The last few episodes were incredibly syrupy and sappy, and not much in the way of supernatural adventure.
This last episode is a great reason why nobody misses this show. Teri Polo comes back as a guy (played by Mark Valley) who wants to sleep with Stone's widow (Stacy Haiduk) so she can get revenge on Stone for rejecting her advances in episode 8 (Ashes). So we get some girl on girl kissing, as Stone watches with barely any interest.
The rest of the episode is dumb. Like always, Stone hesitates to shoot the eyes of the demon, and like in every episode, the demon gets away free. Then Stone carries his widow to her home, puts her on the sofa, and talks to her while she is unconscious. Then he pulls a gift box out of his pocket, and puts it in her hand.
How did this box survive the underground cave-in at the other house? How did Stone dig himself out from under several feet of dirt and rocks, and the box was in mint condition? This story was very odd.
