Near the end of the show, the hotel door swings open and a food cart rolls into the hallway with a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket on it. There is already one KFC bucket in the hallway. The face of the Colonel is obscured by black tape.
When Det. Sgt. Arthur Dietrich is playing the clarinet, he stops and wonders out loud, "Is it E flat or E minor?" A clarinet is incapable of producing an E minor, which is a chord. Chords are three or more notes played simultaneously. Clarinets can only play one note at a time.
In Part 1, as Harris and Dietrich are leaving to go to the hotel, Dietrich says he has to stop at his apartment to get his clarinet. In Part 2, he is shown playing a clarinet like instrument, which is technically known as a soprano saxophone.
