When 'Airwolf 2' is destroyed in the final battle the shot of the exploding helicopter is actually a recycled shot of a smaller, different colored 'bug' helicopter. This is obviously recycled stock footage that has been used to keep production costs down.
When Hawke gets into Airwolf for the final dogfight, he is wearing a red shirt and tan pants. In the aerial shots, he is wearing his gray Firm uniform.
During the dogfight between Airwolf and Airwolf 2, when Airwolf finally gets behind Airwolf 2, Airwolf's shadow is also shortly visible on the ground, but this shadow shows a helicopter with normal landing struts, proving this shot was not taken from the actual Airwolf helicopter.
Hawke and Dom are shown handling missiles. Hawke sets down what appears to be an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile that is only about 3 feet long as if it weighed just a few pounds. The AIM-9 Sidewinder is almost 10 feet long and weighs almost 200 pounds. Standard AIM-9 Sidewinders yes, but as stated after the train heist the missiles are designed specifically for airwolf in other words they are smaller, lighter ones THAT WERE custom made for airwolf.
In ongoing weapons errors, the demonstration of Airwolf II showed it firing Maverick missiles in rapid fire. These missiles are too large to be carried internally in a Bell 222 helicopter. They are carried on hardpoints under the wings of attack aircraft. Standard Mavericks yes, but as stated after the train heist the missiles are designed specifically for airwolf in other words they are smaller, lighter ones custom made THAT WERE for airwolf.
When Hawke and Archangel fight the four henchmen at the farm, an obvious stunt double is used instead of Hawke.
The footage of Airwolf II destroying the airbase was recycled from prior episodes, such as Condemned (1985) when the biological facility was destroyed.
When Jenkins hijacked Airwolf 2 he was the only person aboard in the PIC (right seat), but after blasting out of the hangar the shot facing Airwolf 2 another person is now in the left seat.
When Airwolf II is getting ready to leave the hanger, you can see the stabilizer bar on the main rotor assembly. These are used on radio controlled helicopters. This means this segment of video was done with miniatures and models.
As Archangel's helicopter lands at the beginning of the episode, it is sunset/dusk. The very next shot is complete night.
Archangel states that 30mm and 40mm ammunition was stolen from the military train, among other things, adding that all the things stolen were applicable to Airwolf. The Airwolf has 40mm cannons but does not have 30mm cannons.
Airwolf was designed to be a two-man aircraft for maximum efficiency. Throughout the series, Airwolf's weapons and countermeasures were managed by the flight engineer from the station behind the pilot. In the battle vs. Airwolf 2, all of the same weapons and countermeasures now have controls in the pilot's station which allow the pilot to manage directly, rendering the flight engineer redundant for combat operations.
