THE BEND IN THE RIVER: PART 2 follows on from the first episode and involves the team being captured by a notorious Amazonian river pirate. The villain of the hour is the delightful Sergio Calderon who really makes an impression with his larger than life character. As usual there's a decent mix of heroics and comedy, lots of perilous situations, and George Peppard sweating it up in a vest. What more could you possibly want?

The departure of Tawnia Baker: Part 2

Warning: Spoilers
This third season episode, The Bend in the River: Part 2 sees Tawnia Baker (courageously played by Marla Heasley, who replaced Melinda Culea who played Amy) being phased out through nuptials of all things. Anyway, I remember watching The Bend in the River: Parts 1 and 2 when it debuted 40 years ago, and it was sad to see Tawnia depart way too soon, especially knowing that it was George Peppard (who played Hannibal) who objected to her character. Anyway, Barry Van Dyke, son of Dick, plays Tawnia's fiancee and the episode ends with Tawnia and Barry's character getting married, and The A-Team being without Tawnia.
