- Marianne Taylor: [During interrogation] I wanna call my lawyer.
- Curtis Manning: Really?
- Marianne Taylor: I do have rights.
- Curtis Manning: Yeah? Henry Powell had rights too.
- Marianne Taylor: I don't know any Henry Powell.
- Curtis Manning: The one who helped the terrorists obtain the override. He's right here. Wanna say "hello"?
- [Powell's dead body is wheeled into the room]
- Marianne Taylor: Are you sick? You sick bastard.
- Curtis Manning: CTU didn't kill him.
- Marianne Taylor: Well, then who did?
- Curtis Manning: The same people who planted the bomb under your car. Whoever they are, they've caught up to you. If I let you go, you'd be dead in 15 minutes.
- Curtis Manning: [Powell's body is wheeled out of the room] Your only chance to survive is to tell us what you know.
- Marianne Taylor: I want a deal.
- Curtis Manning: You get to live, that's your deal.
- James Heller: [Over the speakerphone] bring us up to speed
- Jack Bauer: [Over the phone] we have a hostage situation involving one of the men that was involved in the terrorist attack this morning
- Erin Driscoll: We're pulling up his ID now: his name is Navi Araz, granted American citizenship five years ago
- James Heller: Who's the hostage?
- Jack Bauer: His seventeen year old son, Behrooz, he broke ranks now his father sees him as a liability. Araz knows we have his wife in custody, it's worth it if he kills the boy, and she'll betray him by cooperating with us
- Audrey Raines: What does she say?
- Erin Driscoll: She's agreed to help us find the Override, stop the nuclear meltdowns if we rescue her son
- James Heller: So the father will stall, keep the kid alive until the reactors blow?
- Jack Bauer: That's right, sir
- James Heller: We already lost one in California, can we trust this woman to help us?
- Jack Bauer: I think right now she'll do everything she can to protect her son
- James Heller: Ok, whatever you need, you've got: just get that kid
- Jack Bauer: Yes sir
- Jack Bauer: Erin, I'm going to need a thermal satellite scan of the building, we're looking for two heat sources in close proximity in remote areas of the basement
- Erin Driscoll: [Before hanging up] we'll call you back as soon as we have something
- Habib Marwan: [Over the phone] did you find your son?
- Navi Araz: Yes
- Habib Marwan: Is he dead?
- Navi Araz: Not yet
- Habib Marwan: Is there a problem?
- Navi Araz: Government agents arrested Dina and surrounded the building I'm in, I need the boy for leverage but I'm not sure how much longer I can hold them off
- Habib Marwan: Has Dina told them anything?
- Navi Araz: I don't think so: she won't as long as I don't kill the boy, how much longer do you need to meltdown the remaining power plants?
- Habib Marwan: One hour, maybe two
- Navi Araz: Why? Why so long?
- Habib Marwan: The Americans have programmers trying to prevent the meltdown, that means we have to manipulate each plant individually and that takes time
- Navi Araz: I'll hold them off as long as I can
- Habib Marwan: [Before hanging up] I know you will
- Curtis Manning: [while in an interrogation room] who did you and Powell work for?
- Marianne Taylor: I don't know, I only dealt with him
- Curtis Manning: Why did he send you to CTU?
- Marianne Taylor: To cover his tracks in case it became necessary
- Curtis Manning: And after Audrey Raines saw him at the warehouse, it became "necessary"?
- Marianne Taylor: Yeah
- Curtis Manning: Did Powell work directly for the terrorists? Or someone associated with the terrorists?
- Marianne Taylor: I told you, I don't know
- Curtis Manning: I need names: people who can get us the Override
- Marianne Taylor: I don't have any names, I can get them for you
- Curtis Manning: How?
- Marianne Taylor: Powell kept a file on his computer: in his office downtown. it was an "insurance policy," incase either of us needed a bargaining chip
- Curtis Manning: Give me the address and the access code
- Marianne Taylor: It can't be accessed externally, it requires a thumb print identification, either his or mine. Since his dead, it has to be mine
- James Heller: [while entering the conference room] alright, bring me up to speed
- Erin Driscoll: We're trying to hold off the meltdown process on five nuclear power plants
- James Heller: How's that going?
- Edgar Stiles: Our programmers is trying to fight off the Override: they can slow it down but they won't be able to stop it
- James Heller: Which means we still have to find the Override?
- Edgar Stiles: Yes
- Erin Driscoll: Jack has a suspect cornered in a local medical facility and we're "fairly" certain this man his pursuing is one of the key architects in today's events
- James Heller: Can we take him alive?
- Erin Driscoll: Unknown
- James Heller: What about Marianne Taylor?
- Erin Driscoll: I sent Curtis to interrogate her
- James Heller: So this Marianne Taylor "claims", she has to access the file personally?
- Curtis Manning: Yes
- James Heller: And you believe her?
- Curtis Manning: I'm not sure: the polygraph indicates she's telling the truth but in my opinion, she maybe a sociopath
- James Heller: Are you a psychologist?
- Curtis Manning: No but I've had dealings with her before
- James Heller: Dealings that might affect your judgment?
- Curtis Manning: No
- James Heller: Well, we have to check it out: the question is how
- Erin Driscoll: I can spare an operative from the cyber unit and security team
- James Heller: [to Audrey] what'd you think?
- Audrey Raines: I think Curtis should go
- Erin Driscoll: I need Curtis here
- Audrey Raines: The information on the computer file may be important, someone with experience needs to examine it first hand
- James Heller: [to Erin] send Curtis with a security team and you'll have to figure out how to do without him until he gets back
- Erin Driscoll: Yes sir
- Erin Driscoll: You ok?
- Sarah Gavin: I'm fine
- Erin Driscoll: Anything you need? You understand I had no choice: you were identified as threat to security and I acted accordingly
- Sarah Gavin: I would've hoped you had more faith in me
- Erin Driscoll: Personally, I do but the evidence was brought to me by the Secretary of Defense, I couldn't very well ignore it
- Sarah Gavin: What happens now?
- Erin Driscoll: You can go home and rest: no one would blame you if you did but if you're up to it, I could use you on the floor. San Gabriel Island nuclear reactor melted down less than an hour ago. The five remaining plants are critical, I need my best people in play
- Sarah Gavin: [Nods] I'll go back to work
- Erin Driscoll: Thank you
- Audrey Raines: [Over the phone] hey, did you find anything at the address?
- Jack Bauer: Yeah the building was used to plan this morning's attacks
- Audrey Raines: That's a great find
- Jack Bauer: There's something else
- Audrey Raines: What?
- Audrey Raines: The company that owns the building is called Galaxy Financial Services: you ever heard of them?
- Audrey Raines: No, should I have?
- Jack Bauer: Your husband is the Chief Financial Officer
- Audrey Raines: What?
- Jack Bauer: I need to find Paul, I need to speak to him now
- Audrey Raines: Paul had nothing to do with the kidnapping
- Jack Bauer: Maybe, maybe not but his name is all over the paperwork for the building and because of his relationship with to you and your father, his going to have to explain that
- Audrey Raines: I don't know where he is: he left CTU without saying anything
- Jack Bauer: Can you reach him?
- Audrey Raines: Yeah, I have his cell phone number
- Jack Bauer: Ok I want you to call him, I want you to keep it personal. I don't want you to tell him what I know, I just want you to tell me where he is. Audrey, five power plants could still meltdown, if Paul has any information that can stop that from happening, we have to follow through with it, and you know that
- Audrey Raines: Alright
- Jack Bauer: [Before hanging up] please get back to me as soon as you can
- James Heller: I just got off the phone with Jack: he wants me to approve Tony Almeida's reinstatement, do you have a problem with that?
- Erin Driscoll: Considering what Almeida has done for us today, I do not have a problem with that
- James Heller: Good
- Erin Driscoll: Sir, you said you spoke with Jack, how long ago was that?
- James Heller: Ten, fifteen minutes ago, why?
- Erin Driscoll: We have some new information I'd like to share it with you: we found a "curious" connection to the terrorists
- James Heller: What kind of connection?
- Erin Driscoll: Paul Raines
- James Heller: My daughter's husband?
- Erin Driscoll: One of his companies is listed as the owner of the building Jack just searched
- James Heller: The building the terrorists planned the attack from today?
- Erin Driscoll: That's the one
- James Heller: Is anyone going to pick him up?
- Erin Driscoll: We have teams on the way to the hotel where his staying but he was about to leave and the only way to keep him there was under a false pretense
- James Heller: False pretense? What's that suppose to mean?
- Erin Driscoll: Jack called to tell us Audrey is meeting Paul at his room. Jack's on his way over there
- James Heller: What?
- Erin Driscoll: She's going to try to keep him there until our backup teams can take over
- James Heller: Unacceptable, how could you let this happen?
- Erin Driscoll: This wasn't my decision. This was her choice. Jack did everything he could to stop her
- James Heller: When did you find out about this?
- Erin Driscoll: About five minutes ago
- James Heller: That's when you should've told me
- Curtis Manning: Tell me everything you know about Paul Raines
- Marianne Taylor: Why?
- Curtis Manning: What's his connection to all of this?
- Marianne Taylor: How should I know? I "wish" I knew something you could use: believe me, I'm quite clear it's my only way out of this but I don't know anymore about Paul Raines than you do
- Curtis Manning: Raines' part in this is being investigated as we speak, if your name turns up linked in any way...
- Marianne Taylor: [Interrupts him] it won't, I'm going to do everything I can to find something on Powell's computer that help you. Maybe something on Paul Raines will be on there
- Erin Driscoll: The man I was just talking to is Tony Almeida, I want you to keep an eye on him and let me know if he goes off protocol. I'm particularly interested in...
- Sarah Gavin: [Interrupts her] in any communication with Jack Bauer or Secretary Heller
- Erin Driscoll: That's right
- Sarah Gavin: I'm beginning to see how things work around here
- Erin Driscoll: How do things work around here?
- Sarah Gavin: You could care less about me being falsely accused and tortured: your beginning to feel "squeezed out" and need allies. That's why you were so nice to me before
- Erin Driscoll: We're facing a crisis today and our first priority is to deal with it successfully, is that a problem for you?
- Sarah Gavin: Not at all but after I went through today, if you want my help, I need "something" too
- Erin Driscoll: And what's that?
- Sarah Gavin: I want my arrest expunged: not explained by an official letter in my file, expunged, and I want a promotion, two pay grades
- Erin Driscoll: Done
- Paul Raines: [while in his hotel room] I'm glad you came, can I get you something?
- Audrey Raines: Sure
- Paul Raines: I had them send up your favorite champagne: to tell you the truth, I wasn't sure if you'd really come
- Audrey Raines: Why wouldn't I?
- Paul Raines: You were so adamant before about ending things and turn around. It's just a little surprising, that's all
- Audrey Raines: How about you? I hardly hear from you for about six months and you see me with another man, suddenly your pouring Dom Perignon
- Paul Raines: It shows what a fool I am for not realizing what I had and it also shows that I still have feelings for you and you must have some for me too right? Otherwise you wouldn't be here. I would hate to think you're playing some mind game with me
- Audrey Raines: [Before he hands her a glass of champagne] I don't play games
- Paul Raines: Good
- Paul Raines: [Toasting their champagne] to new beginnings
- Audrey Raines: New beginnings
- Paul Raines: Or I can move to Washington? I can turn west coast operations over to Ben Simon
- Paul Raines: [after she's silent] Audrey?
- Audrey Raines: Yes I heard you: turn west coast operations over to Ben Simon
- Paul Raines: What'd you think?
- Audrey Raines: I don't know, I guess you have to decide whether or not you think his capable of running...
- Paul Raines: [Interrupts her] I'm not asking what you think of Ben Simon, what do you think of me moving back east?
- Audrey Raines: [Nervously, before taking a sip of her champagne] I don't know
- Paul Raines: I feel like I'm doing all the work here. You said you wanted to talk, you're not talking
- Audrey Raines: These things take time
- Paul Raines: Well, maybe talking isn't one we should be doing
- Paul Raines: [after staring at him] why are you looking at me like that? You're my wife for God's sake
- Audrey Raines: I can't believe you think I came over here to sleep with you
- Paul Raines: Ok, you didn't come here to sleep with me, you didn't come here to talk to me, why did you come?
- Audrey Raines: I just thought we could spend a little time together. I thought that'd be nice
- Paul Raines: On a day like this? All hell's breaking loose and you it'd be "nice" for us to spend some time together? I guess I wasn't really thinking when you called was I? What're you doing here? What's really going on? Are you spying on me?
- Audrey Raines: Are you doing something worth spying on?
- Paul Raines: [Yelling, standing up, and slams his hand on the table] what is that suppose to mean?
- Audrey Raines: I think I should go
- Paul Raines: [Stands in front of her blocking her path] I think you should stay
