An engrossing Short
SENTIMENTAL1727 April 2007
I stumbled upon this film on television on a New York station and fortunately caught it at the beginning. I was drawn into the film by the opening sequence and sat riveted until the end. I was so impressed by the quality of the acting, writing and subject matter and attempting to tackle a sensitive subject as God and religion. Introducing the delicate and "politically incorrect" topic of atheism with a refreshing approach. It was a full dinner under the guise of a short snack. The characters were genuine and solid. The dialog was honest. This is the type of film that stays with you, days afterward and you find yourself telling other film fans about it. I look forward to more of Francisco Ordonez work in the future and hope to catch his film, Asher, at the Tribeca Film Festival.
