When was the last time Halloween came five times in one month? It’s been happening this October thanks to Bob Burns, monster kid fandom’s legendary “gift that keeps on giving”—and it has only taken him 42 years to get it all together! At the Bob Burns’ Hollywood Halloween website, a two-hour-plus documentary telling the story of Bob and Kathy Burns’ live Halloween shows has been serialized; the first of the five parts became available on October 5, and the rest are being spaced throughout the month.
For newbies, a bit of backstory: In 1967, Bob and wife Kathy, ensconced in their new Burbank home, decided to do a little more for trick-or-treaters than drop candy in their bags. When kids knocked on the door, it opened to reveal a “mad lab” complete with Frankenstein’s Monster (a dummy strapped to a diagonal operating table) and crackling lab equipment. For the next several years, »

Martin Lawrence has had his ups and downs this decade in terms of box office success, but like most actors he can always do well with his franchises. And fortunately for him, both of his franchises have new sequels on the way.
Earlier this week, Columbia Pictures announced that a script is being written for "Bad Boys 3," though neither Lawrence nor Will Smith is yet signed on for another installment. Now Variety reports that Fox is developing a third movie in the "Big Momma's House" series. Again, there's no word on Lawrence's involvement, but given that his last two movies were only modest successes, it's likely that he'll return.
I'll be the first to admit that one of those movies from 2008, the hilarious ensemble comedy "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins," is the kind of high concept movie I prefer from Lawrence. And I'm not a big fan of anything requiring a »

Debbie Rochon, often described as a scream queen herself, wrote in an article originally published in Gc Magazine that "a true Scream Queen isn't The Perfect Woman. She's sexy, seductive, but most importantly 'attainable' to the average guy. Or so it would seem." Nastassja Kinski Films: To the Devil a Daughter (1976) [1] Cat People (1982) [2] The Day the World Ended (2001) [3] Inland Empire (2006) [4] Kinski will always be remembered for the iconic photograph shot by Richard Avedon (with a snake coiled around her body) and her role in Paul Schrader's (not so good) remake of Cat People. Needless to say, it was a hit at the box office and Kinski deservingly received a Saturn Award for Best Actress. Caroline Munro Films: The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) [5] Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972) [6] Dracula A.D. 1972 [7] Maniac (1980) [8] Faceless (1987) [9] Demons 6 (1989) [10] Caroline Munro seduced audiences in her Hammer roles in films like Dracula A.D. 1972, but for gore hounds, »

The Scooby Doo film franchise is set for a revamp with a prequel to the 2002 film starring Hollywood couple Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. underway.
Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins, which features a cast of unknowns, will be released straight to DVD and there are already plans to shoot a follow-up.
Robbie Amell, who plays Fred in the new film, tells MovieHole.net, "There’s a second script... In the first film, we solve our first mystery - but, by the end of the mystery, we’ve destroyed a lot of stuff. The next one would be set at a lake resort, a summer camp kind-of setting, where we’re forced to work to pay off the damage we made in the first film."
Frank Welker, a member of the original ’Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!’ voice cast, provides the voice of Scooby-Doo in the new movie. »

- I've lost sight of what Asif Kapadia is up to ever since Miramax gave up on his immaculately well-designed 2001 film The Warrior. He has since took on the frigid Arctic (Far North) and done a horror film remake (The Return), but his next project is bound to finally give this talented filmmaker some well-deserved attention. I'm not sure how I missed the headline, but THR reports that Kapadia will direct a life-sized documentary film on perhaps the greatest F1 pilot in history. Working Title Films' Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, Kevin Macdonald and Midfield Films' James Gay-Rees will produce the project temporarily referred to as the Untitled Ayrton Senna Documentary. For anyone who loves F1 car racing, the name Senna is synonymous with the greats of the sport. Along with Pele, in Brazil, the name is synonymous with God. I had the chance to watch the driver several »

So what becomes a leg end most? Endurance. Even before rave re views of his Oscar-night hosting came in, Hugh Jackman was already outta there. Back to New York. While most of Hollywood stayed partying and BSing, Hugh was already on Delta's first flight Eastward Ho! The Return to Civilization.
Oscar's winning docu mentary short, "Smile Pinki," is about the work of the world's largest cleft charity, Smile Train. For the awards, Pinki, age 8, was imported from her thatched-roof mud home in India's now-famous slums. The Slumdog Millionaires all knew her. For Oscar night, »
