• Anachronisms: The steam train has a British Railways logo on the tender, but British Railways didn't come into existence until after the war, certainly not before or during the war, the period in which the film is set.
  
  
• Continuity: There are seven puppies in the litter, but eight can be seen in the walk in the countryside.
  
  
• Anachronisms: During one scene, a Ferguson Model TE20 tractor (also known as "the Grey Fergie") can clearly be seen driving along a street. This film is supposed to be set during World War Two (1939-45) but the TE20 was not produced until 1946.
