Passes with Literally Flying Colors

The film was so funny and entertaining in general. The acting of Eric Quizon was definitely the best. He was so convincing and very funny at most times. He really showed off the flamboyancy of a open gay man. Kris Aquino also portrayed her character very well, and in my opinion Kris was perfect to play Lianna so I think Kris had no trouble doing the film. I was disappointed by the four Starstruck finalists namely Mark, Jennylyn, Yasmien and Rainier. Rainier and Yasmien were the weakest. I thought Yasmien's role was so boring, and so was Rainier's. They didn't show much of their being a love team and seemed like they didn't show much emotion or too much emotion at times.

The film in general is very entertaining. It's good for laughs and very realistic. The whole "Yayaman din ako" line is typical of a girl like Lianne, the love affair of Wena and her boyfriend was also very common among Filipino teenagers. Jay-R's role made Kris' character, Lianne look cheap but then again it's also common for some older women to think a relationship with younger and handsome man possible. The film is like the story of many typical Filipinos, it so colorful and pleasant that it's a real good and recommended film to watch. I enjoyed a lot.

On the downside, some parts are too corny, like when Kris was crying at Wena's wedding... surely you would not seriously cry because you spent so much money! When Osmond was left by Oliver at church, the whole matrix effects were a little silly. Sometimes some scenes were exaggerated, especially in the scene where Lianne and Osmond were arguing about Wena's real father. They were too specific and acted sounded like they really wanted Wena to hear the sad news, speaking in loud volume and repeating the important lines in continuity until it came to the point Raphie and Wena obviously will overhear and argue as well.

The film I think deserves a 7/10 overall. Could have been better but still a film worth watching during the Manila Film Fest or if your looking for a good romantic comedy with a little wit and intelligence.

Saw the movie initially because i was curious to see rainier Castillo on the big screen. Didn't expect much from the film and decided at first to go out of the movie house after watching rainier's scenes (he appeared and exited in the middle of the film). Surprisingly, though Eric Quizon's performance was just funny that it was enough to keep us from leaving. He was a natural and he sure carried the movie. The lines were witty and the computer animations added spice to the film. As for Rainier's performance, it was too short and the only thing that we can remember from it was the confrontation scene between him and the other starstruck stars.Overall, the film was worth our money. It made us happy. I'll give it 8 stars considering we came in expecting nothing from the movie.
