Mickey has a birthday party that Stinkie tries to ruin
packy8626 February 2013
This film starts out saying "In Toonerville Washington's birthday is a school holiday but Mickey's birthday is a celebration". The film starts with the Scorpions preparing for Mickey's birthday party at the gang house and for some unknown reason Stiky and his friends are there and are set on ruining the party by such tactics as switching the cake candles with fireworks. When Mickey shows up he says nothing can ruin his party and it's alright if Stinky and his friends are there. But after Stinky keeps pulling pranks Mickey finally gets feed up with him and starts a fight. Mickey isn't impressed with the gifts the Scorpions got him and says he thought they would get him animals. So the gang goes out looking for animals and while out searching Hambone hears 2 Hindus talking about "The Great White Elephant" that's gone missing and if they find anybody with it they will slit his neck ear to ear. The gang comes back with a dog, rabbit, and a goose but Mickey wants something bigger. Well surprise surprise they end up finding the elephant and bringing it back to the gang house. Stiky isn't done playing pranks either, he says that elephants are afraid of mice and throws one into the gang house and the elephant ends up running off with the house on his back and the gang inside. It ends up on the the highway weaving between cars and even ends up chasing the 2 Hindu guys. Although, I usually find the Mickey Mcguire films missing the charm many of the Our Gang films had, overall I would say this is one of the better silent Mickey Mcguires that I've seen.
