why?!

I really liked this show. I don't know why they cancelled it but I wish they would at least put the first season on DVD so that I can watch it.It was nice to finally see a cop character who wasn't dirty in any way and could be counted on for some outrageous comment that would make me laugh. Not only was it funny and always surprising but the lack of fear that Creegan had for just jumping into something made me want to watch. I never knew what would happen next and that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout all the shown episodes. As I said before I was very unhappy that they cancelled the show. I just want to know what happened to the characters and whether Creegan ever got back together with his family in some way.

Great start

So what this is a stolen show from England, who really cares? I'm not a copyright lawyer and earnesty has nothing to do with me getting entertained. Im sure the limeys have stolen from us at least twice.

Creegan is a cool lazurus man cop, back from the dead, and at different faculties than normal folk without shame or ego. Here, he and his apprehensive partner, Branca, track the dissapearances of children and deal with the kidnapper/pedophile without the usual procedure and tact, hit the truth with a sledgehammer and it will freed.

Taut for a two hour pilot fraught with blue, green and yellow filters, slow camera movements from strange angles, switchpans and long distance, out of focus shots. The best of modern film-making on TV. It has fluid scene transitions of the San Franciso area in clouds, moon phases and other symbolic items that heighten the value of a production. The series is better because the characters have become developed and Taylor Pruitt Vince becomes the staple for the two realms he lives in, on Alpha 9 (his reality) and Earth. (his fantasy)

Great pilot and strong interestingly different cop show, that makes me vomit when I watch Cold Case or the ten billion other police dramas.

Bruce Willis? OK... did he have a brain transplant? This is -GREAT-!

Reminds me a bit of monk; if you took some of the focus off of the main character and used it to create great suspense and mysteries to go with the goofball detective.

One of the very best thriller/suspense-series in years.

And to think Bruce Willis is behind it. It shouldn't be possible.

The whole feel of the show is way different. The mood is pressed, even though there's some comic relief in the oddness of our main character. The music is slow versions of a few great industrial rock songs... (among them at least one Nine inch nails track)... and more, I'm sure. Nine inch nails is creepy enough in full speed... slowed down to a minimum it's even more chilling...

It's creepy all the way. Each episode is a bit like watching a condensed version of "Seven".

Haunting

A pleasure to have characters who could be real. Jeff Donavan seems a natural subject to play a troubled investigator who is reminded of who he was and what he now is as the result of his near death mishap. Miss Farmiga makes the perfect partner for her quirky other half. This may have been a clone of the British network program but maybe an American will be a success. We hope as time goes by to see the inner layers of investigators and how they tick while investigating their next case. Hope this program remains a keeper. With TV being inundated with drab reality shows and mindless sitcoms this show is a welcome change. CDB
