Teresa Wright: Later years (See preceding post: "Teresa Wright: From Marlon Brando to Matt Damon.") Teresa Wright and Robert Anderson were divorced in 1978. They would remain friends in the ensuing years.[1] Wright spent most of the last decade of her life in Connecticut, making only sporadic public appearances. In 1998, she could be seen with her grandson, film producer Jonah Smith, at New York's Yankee Stadium, where she threw the ceremonial first pitch.[2] Wright also became involved in the Greater New York chapter of the Als Association. (The Pride of the Yankees subject, Lou Gehrig, died of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in 1941.) The week she turned 82 in October 2000, Wright attended the 20th anniversary celebration of Somewhere in Time, where she posed for pictures with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. In March 2003, she was a guest at the 75th Academy Awards, in the segment showcasing Oscar-winning actors of the past. Two years later,...

Writer, director Enid Zentelis ("Evergreen") explores the challenging relationship between a mother and a daughter when unconditional love and drug addiction get in the way in "Bottled Up." Starring Melissa Leo, Zentelis' dark comedy reminds audiences to live fully for themselves instead of denying their needs for the love of others. Zentelis' describes the production of the film as a completely creative experience, as she balanced being both a mother and filmmaker at the time. What it's about: A solitary woman (Melissa Leo) earning her living by delivering mail and body piercing, makes every attempt to help her volatile adult daughter (Marin Ireland) get on her feet, and in-so-doing neglects herself, channeling all of her womanly desires into her houseplants...even when a charismatic and industrious environmentalist (Josh Hamilton) moves in with them. About the filmmaker: "Bottled Up" is my second feature as writer and director. Nominated for the Grand Jury.

Her first feature since 2004, director Enid Zentelis' film "Bottled Up" stars Melissa Leo and Josh Hamilton. She talks about the challenges of going through pre-production during and after having a baby. About the filmmaker: "Bottled Up" is my second feature as writer and director ("Evergreen" was my first). I've made short works on a variety of subjects including one on President Clinton's philanthropic work and one on the band Wilco. I have two children with my husband, Sean Fogarty, and I'm a first generation American, half Hungarian Jew and half Latvian.

We hold in our hands the covers for DC Comics this February. As a child of four can plainly see, these comics have been hermetically sealed in a Cgc 9.9 slab, and they’ve been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar under a giant stack of returned copies of Holy Terror since noon today.
What do we have worth noting? The new look of Darkseid, and we’re far enough into the new 52 books that it’s time for Batman to start crossing over in all of them. Plus Mara Jade, the red-haired assassin who fell in love with her blond-haired man she was sent to kill– oh, I’m sorry, that’s from Star Wars. This is Mera in a jade outfit. Our mistake.
Shall we? Surely!
As usual, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.

It's pretty widely known that teenagers are selfish and ungrateful little snots. Evergreen, a film from 2004 that only recently was released, drills this into the viewer's brain.
Henrietta, Henri, for short, played by the relatively unknown Addie Land, and her mother Kate, played by Cara Seymour (the chick who was demolished by Christian Bale's chainsaw in American Psycho) have fallen on hard times and have to move in with Cara's mother (Lynn Cohen), who lives in grubby leaky shack on the edge of town. Henri's mother is the type who goes out of her way to do everything she can for her daughter, to give her the things she didn't have when she was a kid.
On paper this sounds great, but, if you recall your time in high school, the greatest thing your folks could do for you was to just leave you alone. Cara just wants to...
