Sex & Nudity

  • The women in the game are dressed in revealing clothing.
  • Mild. The Prince and Farah both bathe naked. Nothing "private" is shown and it's not explicit.

Violence & Gore

  • After defeating the final boss the boss can be seen spitting out drops of blood. This scene is dark and looks more like shadows though
  • Very small, brief and pixelated blood sprays when attacked by enemies or traps. The same effects are used for fighting human enemies too, however there's only a handful of battles against humans, aside from the beginning of the game every enemy either has magical protection and doesn't bleed or is a sand creature. It's also worth noting no blood is shown on instant deaths such as falling (no impact shown or completely bloodless) and impaled (no blood)
  • Its a violent game put surely not as violent as it's sequels. There is blood, but not alot. No gore.

Profanity

  • The word "Hell" is used throughout the game.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The "Sandmonsters" (main enemies in the game) look scary and might frighten younger gamers.
  • The game isn't as intense as sequels, but still has it's moments where it can get intense. Like the near end where "someone" dies.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Near the end of the game The Prince tries to help someone from falling to their death. He grabs the dagger at the sharp end and gets severely cut, blood slowly pours over the dagger. However the blood is very paint like and not very realistic. The character can be seen lying dead on the ground during a battle that follows, however due to the character falling through a break in the flooring there's really no need to look down, no blood is shown either
