• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): At one stage a news report about a Cyclone Ingrid airs. The graphic behind the newsreader is missing the second "c" from cyclone.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The telephone number on the door of Gregory's, the electrician, Land Rover starts with '70'. This cannot be a Jindabyne telephone number as they start with '64' in that part of N.S.W., Australia. (Note that the code ‘70’ is a special prefix for movie use. It is issued by the Australian Media and Communications Aurtority).
  
  
• Continuity: When Rocco poses with his fish for a photo, the shadow of his rod shows as a sharp line across the left side of his face. The picture printed in the paper does not show this and his whole face is shadowed.
  
  

• Continuity: Just before the fishing trip, Stewart dyes his graying hair black. At the river, the gray reappears, but his hair inexplicably turns jet-black again upon his return.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Billy does not properly lock up the store when he rushes to the car, you can clearly see he doesn't turn the key at all.
  
  
• Continuity: The men on the fishing trip must hike out to the spot that they fish at, but the electrician was able to drive right up to the river and dump the body.
