  • Errors in geography: When Harry is eluding police in New York City, a Los Angeles MTA bus passes by in the background.

  • Continuity: The license plate of a car being pursued changes from 3DW0489 in one shot to 3MX0149 in the next. It wouldn't be so easily notable, but the characters are talking about writing it down.

  • Continuity: When Perry and Harry are on the rooftop having an argument, Perry puts his hand across his mouth to shut Harry up with his right hand. The next shot centering on Harry has Perry's left hand on Harry's mouth, and the shot after that returns to having Perry's right hand on Harry's mouth.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Harry discovers a small pistol in the glove compartment of Perry's Mercedes, Perry refers to it as a Derringer, and even specifies (by way of a joke) that it only carries two shots, as Derringers invariably do. However, it is clearly visible as a North American Arms mini-revolver.

  • Revealing mistakes: After they both found the dead girl in the lake, while driving in the Mercedes, the headrests appear then reappear between scenes.

  • Crew or equipment visible: In the wide opening shot of the scene with Harry and Harmony in the bar, the camera and crew are reflected in the mirrors behind.

  • Crew or equipment visible: In the scene with Perry and Harry approaching the log cabin, the shadows of the camera crew can be seen upon the bushes.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Harry answers Perry's mobile phone towards the end, the screen of the phone is clearly visible. Instead of showing "Harmony Calling" which would be correct, the phone display simply shows the phone book entry for Harmony instead.

  • Revealing mistakes: Towards the beginning of the movie Harry is obviously nicked in the arm when his robbing buddy is shot. When he runs into the audition room, there is an obvious hole in his jacket with blood coming out of it, but when he removes his jacket it reveals a totally undamaged shirt save for a blood stain on it.

  • Revealing mistakes: After Harry and Perry begin moving the the corpse from Harry's hotel room, the length of the corpse becomes significantly shorter once they get into the hallway, and remains shorter as they heft it into the trunk of the car. This is given away from the actors tucking the blanket too tightly around whatever prop they were using.

  • Plot holes: Near the beginning of the film, Perry claims to know Harmony since she has done some work for him. Later in the film when she finds her sister has charged her credit card to 'Sentron' she claims to have no knowledge that this is Perry's company. (This might be considered a plot hole, however, early in the movie, at the Christmas party, Harry's narration mentioned that Perry had recently incorporated. So it could be the new name was instituted after Harmony had worked for him.)

  • Revealing mistakes: The book that Harmony takes off the shelf at the party is entitled You Wouldn't Want to Live There by Joe Chester, a fictional detective novelist. When she opens the book to read it, the text at the top of the pages clearly states that the novel is Maureen Child's The Man Beneath the Uniform, a 2004 Silhouette romance novel.

  • Errors in geography: During the climactic chase, the van turns the corner from Ocean Avenue onto Queens Way in Long Beach three times and passes 444 E. Ocean Avenue four times.

>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.

  • Continuity: SPOILER: When Pink Hair Girl is shot, she hits the floor with her face turned toward Harry (and the camera). In the reverse shot immediately following, she is facing the ceiling, then turns her head toward Harry. (This same sequence repeats in the recap flashback.)

  • Continuity: SPOILER: The scene where Gay Perry slaps Harmony's father in the face, blood appears under his nose then disappears when Perry walks away.

  • Continuity: SPOILER: When Harmony appears at Harry's hotel room and begins talking about how it wasn't her that died, but in fact her sister, she swipes an empty champagne glass from Harry's hand, trying to drink from it. However, the glass actually had some liquid left in it only half a second before hand after Harry had finished taking a rather large swig.
