Goofs for
Are We There Yet? (2005)

advertisement
  • Continuity: Kevin opens the rear passenger door on Nick's Navigator against a yellow concrete barricade resulting in a large yellow mark in the middle of the door. From then on the mark either moves around of the door or disappears completely.

  • Factual errors: While riding in the vehicle, Kevin attempts to drink a Capri Sun. When nick sees him he grabs the Capri Sun and it squirts on the top of the vehicle. When nick goes to wipe it off it is purple in color, but all Capri Suns are clear in color

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Nina says Satchel Paige pitched 3 innings for the Royals when he was 59 years old. Paige pitched 3 innings for the Kansas City A's in 1965, when he was 59. The Kansas City Royals did not come into existence until 1969, after the A's had moved to Oakland.

  • Factual errors: When Kevin has an asthma attack on the ice-rink, Nick gives him his inhaler and then he starts breathing again. He couldn't have breathed in the medicine to help if he couldn't breathe.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Nick discovers that the kids are off the train and it starts to move, he runs almost the entire length on the train yelling at them. When the camera shows the kids from the front you can see that the train tracks start about 30 feet behind them, not enough room for the entire train.

  • Continuity: During the scene in Nick's shop involving the two shoplifting kids, Nick goes out and sprays window cleaner on his door to clean off the kids' spit. Nick turns around and never cleans off the door, but when he turns to come back in his shop, the door is completely clean and dry.

  • Continuity: When Nick is by the river, he gets so mad that he throws his hat into the river (the hat is clearly seen floating in the water). In the next scene, when he climbs into the car again, the hat is back on his head.

  • Continuity: Before the car catches fire Nick pulls the alarm system out of the car but when he find his keys and unlocks his doors we hear the alarm system bleep.

  • Continuity: At the party where Nick is trying to get medicine for the boy, one of the ladies in charge is holding the clown hat before Nick throws it to her.

  • Errors in geography: When Nick is dropping Suzanne off at the airport, the signs say Portland International Airport. The building has stone walls. PDX is a glass and metal building, not to mention the area that he is dropping her off in is uncovered. There is a cover over the roadways at PDX running from the parking garage to the terminal since it rains so often in Portland, OR.

  • Continuity: When Nick is playing basketball with his friends, Nick leaves to pick up Suzan but Marty starts arguing with him raising both hands. In the next frame Marty is holding a bottle of water in his left hand, still clearly standing in the same place.
